Water Baptism - 3/7/2010

On Sunday, March 7th, we will celebrating with believers in Jesus Christ as they follow through with their commitment to follow him by being Water Baptized. Since you've become a follow of Jesus, have you been baptized? If not, I strongly encourage you to do so! Why? 1, it's a command from Jesus that we are to go into all the world and make disciples ( followers of Christ), baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit. Seem weird? Perhaps a little. Let's go a little deeper. Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist (baptizer). John's baptism was one of repentance. In other words, you were showing the world that you were turning from your sinful life and exchanging it for a life of obedience unto God. Wasn't Jesus perfect? Yes! So why did he get baptized? To simply be obedient unto His Father's plan! The apostle Paul explains water baptism in Romans 6 like this: when we are baptized we are publicly saying that as we are being immersed (covered) with water, we are identifying with Christ's death, but just as we are raised out of the water, so Jesus was raised from the dead! Simply put: I'm dead to my oldself and am alive with Christ, living a new life for Him and I want the world to know about it! It's a great witness of how Jesus Christ has changed your life forever! Hour of Power - 2/12/2010

We're hitting our knees for the purpose of seeking God, making intercession for the sick, standing in the gap for our generation! Join us at 7pm at the FLC for an hour of prayer. Our prayers make a huge difference in the world we live in. They are powerful & effective. So, let's believe God together and see our community changed! Miracles are only a prayer away!

BOTS - 2/10/10

It's back again! Battle of the Sexes will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 10th at 7pm in the FLC. It's Girls vs. Guys, the battle between Good & Evil! We will find out who's the more powerful (btw,the Guys were champs in 09') in 2010! You get points for winning games, bringing a bible, bringing friends, wearing blue clothing for guys & wearing red clothing for the girls. Bots is on!

Super Bowl Party - 2/7/10

On Sunday, Feb. 7th we will party likes there's a really important football game on TV! Meet us at the FLC as we celebrate church-wide the Super Bowl. Bring a snack to share and just come hang out or even watch the game! It all kicks off at 6pm!

WW2 - 2/6/10

If you've been wanting to play an instrument or sing on the Brazen Worship team, now is your chance! A Worship Workshop will be held on Saturday, Feb. 6 from 10am to 2pm at the FLC. This will serve as a practice and instruction time as we continue to grow in the area of worship ministry. Free lunch is also included! Sign-up at the Brazen Table on Wed nites!

7th-9th Grade Girls Sleepover - 1/29/09

This friday, Wendy Paisley will be hosting a girls sleepover for students in 7th through 9th grades at her house. Meet at the church at 6:30pm. Return to the church at 10am on Saturday. Bring a sleeping bag ( if you plan on sleeping)! There will be games, fun times, gifts, and of course snacks!

Speed The Light Nite - 1/27/10

Tomorrow Nite we will be holding our first Speed The Light Offering of 2010. Our goal is to raise $5000 to help purchase a new Van for Teen Challenge in Rehrersburg, PA. Teen Challenge is a ministry to those who have drug & alcohol addictions. Together, we can do the impossible! Remember, if everyone just gives $12 a month (that's only .40 cents a day) - we can reach our goal! See ya at 7pm!
